About
GKC Systems is an independent engineering practice based in Cracow. We help customers turn ideas into products. Our expertise covers firmware, embedded Linux, PCB design and board bring-up.
Profile
At GKC Systems, we work where firmware meets hardware: embedded software, Yocto-based Linux and FreeRTOS on custom hardware — work that has proven itself in systems already in commercial use. We take a hands-on approach to board bring-up, using an oscilloscope and logic analyzer to troubleshoot hardware issues.
Our experience includes commercial audio projects (Yocto on NXP and FreeRTOS on STM32), software verification and validation for aerospace, and automotive embedded software.
We have worked with microcontrollers and processors from STMicroelectronics, NXP, Texas Instruments and Microchip (including AVR), among others. Most of our projects rely on software written in C/C++, Python and Rust. We have also worked successfully with data protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, TCP/IP, ARINC 429, AVB and Dante. Our work is documented to industry standards and managed with Git version control and Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
How we work
Everything starts with an idea, but the technical details can be overwhelming at times. We designed our process around your needs: Feasibility Study & Technical Roadmap → Feature Delivery (including Debug & Rescue) → phased Product Development. You can join at any phase and get our support to take your project to the next milestone.
Depending on the state of your project, we can start with either the Feasibility Study or Feature Delivery. Delivery is milestone-based with written acceptance criteria, and we keep you in the loop to make sure every deliverable meets your expectations.
